Danalee Harrison has been a Skate Canada coach for over 20 years and has been involved with LMSSC since inception of the club at the age of 6. As one of the original members, as a skater, she continues to grow the club today through coaching. Danalee is currently NCCP Level 3 Certified and Gold CEP level (Continuous Education Program). She teaches all disciplines of singles at the Newton FSC, but specializes in Synchronized Skating with the Lower Mainland Synchronized Skating Club. Her teams compete both provincially and nationally. Currently, she coaches teams for Adult 2, Adult 3, Open, Intermediate, Pre-Novice and Elementary. Danalee is married with two children that keep her busy with dance and sports off the ice. Recent awards: Skate Canada Club and Recreation Coach Award of Excellence for 2012-13 BC/YK Club and Recreation Coach Award of Excellence for 2013-14
This season Danalee has taken on coaching duties of all 6 teams. She is full of energy, ideas and passion which will keep the club and teams well served and thriving.
Leslie coached with LMSSC since it was formed in 2001 but prior to that she coached the Surrey Precision teams out of Newton FSC for many years. She has been a coach at Newton FSC since 1975 (39 years) and, prior to that, 3 years in Northern Manitoba. She is a level 3 certified coach and Gold CEP Level (Continuing Education Program with Skate Canada). She teaches synchronized team skating, freeskate, interpretive, dance, skills, Canskate, and Starskate. Leslie coached Ice X-treme (Open category) to 2 National Synchronized Skating Medals, gold in 2006 and bronze in 2008. Award: Coach of the Year for the BC/YK Section 2005
Leslie retired from coaching at the end of the 2017-18 season but all that synchro passion is still with her. Expect to see her at competitions and demos around the Lower Mainland and even Winterfest! She will also be at some practices.
